Refund and Returns Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
We want customers to shop with confidence. This policy explains how cancellations, returns, refunds and faulty items are handled by GBritain’s Store. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
1. Changing your mind about an online purchase
For most goods bought online, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason. After telling us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
Please contact us at Contact@gbritainsstore.co.uk before returning an item so we can provide return instructions.
2. Condition of returned goods
You may inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop. Please take reasonable care of them while they are in your possession and, where possible, return them with their original packaging and accessories.
If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make a lawful deduction from the refund to reflect any reduction in value.
3. Items that may not qualify for a change-of-mind return
Some goods are excluded from the normal cancellation right. This can include:
- goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
- goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once the seal has been broken; and
- other goods that are legally exempt from the cancellation right.
These exclusions do not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your legal rights.
4. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or not fit for purpose, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and, where helpful, photographs of the issue.
We will deal with the matter in accordance with your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a refund, repair or replacement. We will not require you to pay reasonable return costs for goods that are faulty or supplied incorrectly where the law requires us to bear those costs.
5. Refunds
For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, we will refund the price paid for the returned goods and, where required by law, the cost of the standard delivery option. If you selected a more expensive delivery method, the additional delivery cost is not normally refundable.
Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method. For change-of-mind returns, we may wait until we receive the goods back or you provide evidence that you have sent them, whichever occurs first. We will process the refund within the timeframe required by applicable law.
6. Return postage
For a change-of-mind return, you are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise. We recommend using an appropriate tracked service and keeping proof of postage.
If the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, contact us before returning them so we can advise on the appropriate return method.
7. Exchanges
If you would prefer an exchange, please contact us. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. Where an exchange is not possible, we will offer the appropriate remedy available under this policy and applicable law.
8. Sale and promotional items
Sale and promotional items have the same statutory rights as full-price items. Any lawful change-of-mind exclusions described above still apply.
9. Cancelling before dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible. If we are able to stop the shipment, we will cancel the order and arrange the appropriate refund.
10. How to contact us about a return
Email: Contact@gbritainsstore.co.uk
Return address: We will provide the appropriate return address and instructions after you contact us.
Please include your order number, name, the item concerned and the reason for contacting us. For faulty or damaged items, photographs may help us resolve the matter more quickly.
11. Your statutory rights
This policy is intended to provide a fair and straightforward returns process. It does not exclude, restrict or replace any rights you have under UK consumer law.
